Community Resources
Right now, those who have an ITIN or are willing to obtain a letter of ineligibility for an SSN from the Social Security Administration (SSA) are able to make appointments to apply for their driver’s licenses on and after May 1, 2021! Around June 1st, individuals can begin applying using an affidavit instead of an ITIN or SSN. Please note that appointments are limited, so please keep checking back for openings.
Please use these resources to educate your community about the new driver's licenses law in New Jersey. If you have questions or need additional resources, please get in touch with your local community organization.
